Art is important. I believe creative expression is essential for happiness and fulfillment. I want to give my toddler all the tools and activities necessary to nurture his creative abilities. So, I’m sharing the creative development toys I love.
My son comes from a line of very creative, artsy individuals. Not to sound like the delusional art mom I possibly am, I believe there is a great chance my toddler may harbor innate creative abilities.
Aaaaanyway, we gotta explore the path to get there. Here are the artsy, creative development toys I’m here to talk about.
Easel
This easel has a dry erase board (where you can place magnets) on one side and a chalk board on the other. Then it has a roll of paper that comes down for painting. We have it set up in my little boy’s room where he uses it for magnet play and the chalkboard. We take it outside for painting.
Painting Set
Get a complete, washable finger painting set to help your pico-Picasso explore painting. This one comes with 10 paint colors, brushes, a palette and other painting tools. I have a highlight reel to help minimize the mess 🥴
Crayola Wonder Mess-free Sets
I have a special place in my heart for mess-free art. I like to avoid having to get ink out of my sheets. Of course I have old fashion crayons and markers but mama likey these. We also have Imagine Ink pads, which has 1 clear marker that brings out patterns and colors on the sheets.
Water Drawing Mat
This is a great, mess-free way for your child to go to town painting or drawing. The refillable “markers” are filled with water which brings out color when used on this magic mat. There are also numbers and letters and figures on the mat that can be traced. It comes with stamps that can be wet with the water pens to stamp shapes on the mat.
Sidewalk Chalk
Classic fun. I just bought this new set of Sidewalk chalk because all we have left from our current sidewalk chalk are little nubs.
That’s it!
Pin this or share it to come back to this list later. 😊
