Review: Baby Delight Snuggle Nest Harmony Co Sleeper

Of all the items that we have had for the baby, the Baby Delight Snuggle Nest Harmony co sleeper is the one that my husband and I both regard as the most practical.

My sister brought the Baby Delight Snuggle Nest Harmony over to us along with several other goodies after her shopping trip during our first day home after the baby was born.

As you may have noticed in the photo above, I have a Bassinet next to my bed.

But there are a few advantages that the Snuggle Nest Harmony co sleeper has over a bassinet.

1. I breastfeed so I wanted my baby as near as possible when I needed to wake at night. I always kept the cosleeper on the bed between my husband and I for easier access.

2. You can take it with you wherever you go. That is hugely convenient when you go visit family so you have a place to safely let the baby nap.

3. The co sleeper comes with buttons:

  • The soothing sound of a beating heart (as it sounds to them from inside the womb)
  • Some lullaby music
  • Volume controls
  • The large oval button that says “Baby Delight” is a light that turns on

I found the light handy during night time feedings. After a while of feeding without a light to help me with the latch, I would feel like my nipples needed a good portion of the next morning to recuperate from the night time beating they took.

4. At about $80, the Baby Delight Snuggle Nest Harmony is much cheaper than a bassinet.

I found one disadvantage to the Baby Delight Snuggle Nest co sleeper when I was shopping for an additional fitted sheet that I can swap out whenever I needed to wash it.

I ordered a pack of fitted sheets from BuyBuy Baby and when they arrived, they were much too small for the cosleeper pad. So I returned them and bought some (showing the measurements of the sheets in size XL) on Amazon.

When those arrived they were the. same. exact. sheets. I had just returned to BuyBuy Baby. I looked at the reviews on Amazon and saw that someone commented about the same issue.

There was a happy ending for me, though.

I called Baby Delight and told them my issue. They sent me a whole other cushion (with its own fitted sheet) for free.

The pads are different sizes so I can’t use the fitted sheets interchangeably but the pads are similar enough in size that they both fit fine inside the co sleeper.

Unfortunately, my baby got slapped with the 4 month sleep regression around 3.5 months and decided that sleeping anywhere but in our arms burned like acid.

At this point our sleeping routine and setup changed and we’ve retired the co sleeper.

But I am no less thankful to it for the convenience it provided for the first few months.

Safety Updates

I must mention that in the time since I used this for my son, there have been changes to how they advise safely using the Baby Delight Snuggle Nest. They no longer call it a cosleeper as it’s not used for sleep. It’s now referred to as a lounger.  Here is the safety article where they advise caregivers about how to use this lounger only for supervised play.

It was his first school show ever and I had no idea if he would have a melt down or cooperate.

Turns out we've got a showman!

It's been more than 40 days since I deleted social It's been more than 40 days since I deleted social media apps from my phone. A lot of living has happened during that time and the absence of social media has impacted how that living played out. Birthdays were celebrated, first steps were taken, gluten-free living has been practiced, health procedures happened, first day of a new school, we danced, learned new things, time spent with family and friends.

My general efforts to be more present have resulted in a stronger bond with my baby girl who loves me even more than before. The absence of a constant stream of bad news has not given me more material for my (still existent) health anxiety. I still find opportunities for distraction and I have more work to do. I've decided to poke in when I have something to post. For the sake of my kids, my productivity and my mental health and clarity, I can't keep these black holes of time too easily accessible to social media.

Still tweaking this relationship to minimize it's negative impact without losing the positives.

I'm checking out of social media. As my baby girl I'm checking out of social media.
As my baby girl's first birthday was approaching, it became obvious that I have work to do so that I can be as present as I'd like to be. A year went by in a blur as I tried balancing my 5 year old and my baby. My phone has not served me in accomplishing this.
The goal is 40 days. I'll report back when it's done!
One year. One year since I decided at 4am to sto One year.

One year since I decided at 4am to stop ignoring those irregular,  uncomfortable sensations I had been having since the night before and I somehow wasn't convinced were contractions.

One year since I wondered if I was overeacting by going to the hospital even though I was 41 weeks pregnant.

And then a few short hours later we met. We've been together everyday since.  But I can't believe it's been a year. People always say it goes fast but it's a whole other level of fast when you have more than 1. I have not been as successful in slowing down time like I was able to do with hermanote. But on this very special day, I promise to keep trying.

No more fuzzy days, please.

Happy 1st birthday, Yayas!

I don't know what happened to that 3rd video but I'm not redoing this!
